Our pelvic health physiotherapist will comprehensively evaluate your individual concerns and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan. Techniques used include manual therapy, movement rehabilitation, stretching, mobility exercises, and strength training and target both the pelvic floor and the rest of the body.

Pelvic health physiotherapy typically involves internal vaginal and/or rectal examination and treatment, but can be modified to suit your needs and comfort level. During her undergraduate degree, Erin was a part of the Student Athletic Therapy program, where she worked closely with both field hockey and varsity football athletes. 

Following her time at St. Francis Xavier, Erin completed a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Austin Rees has a background in elite-level soccer, playing at the academy level in his youth and eventually playing at the varsity level for Dalhousie University. Austin completed his Bachelors of Science in kinesiology at Dalhousie University where he earned the achievement of varsity all-Canadian athlete. Subsequently, Austin worked as a personal trainer prior to attending Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and graduated with summa cum laude honours.

Austin’s treatment approach is focused on symptomatic improvement while rehabilitating movement to increase athletic resiliency and performance. Sierra grew up training and competing in cheerleading, swimming, and field hockey, sustaining many injuries along the way. Her personal experience sparked her drive to help others in their recovery and pursuit of peak athletic performance. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from Queen’s University and her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at McGill University.

During her studies, Sierra found her interest in working with athletes through her volunteer work with several sports teams and organizations, including the men’s hockey team, women’s hockey team, and women’s soccer teams at McGill University; competitive gymnastics gyms; Rugby Quebec; and the Montreal Alouettes football team.

After completing her studies, Sierra joined the team at McGill University’s Sport Medicine Clinic, where she honed her skills in treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions. She served as the head therapist for the McGill Redbirds basketball team, providing specialized care and support to athletes.

She is the Lead Therapist for Sailing Canada, The Canadian Powerlifting Federation, and The Toronto Golf Club. She is an International Presenter, an instructor with Active Release Techniques, and a Published Academic. Dr. Jennifer Tanner, ND graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in Honours Kinesiology and loved the hands-on experience of working as Athletic Therapist for the Varsity Rugby Team. She worked with CBC at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympic Games before spending the next four years studying the art and science of Naturopathic Medicine. She was an active member of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine’s Sports Medicine Group.

Dr. Tanner received the Dr. Shimon Levytam Award for demonstrating principles of naturopathic medicine and applying them in daily clinic practices while promoting naturopathic medicine. She has been invited to speak internationally, trained with MD’s and various health care practitioners abroad and has appeared in Today’s Parent, well.ca and Best Health.

Dr. Tanner has a broad, evidence-based practice with a focus on runners and people looking to become more active.
